I am a retired Army Signal Corps Officer with a degree in Computer Science and Masters Degree in Education. I have been involved with radio communications since 1983 when I was initally trained in Tactical Level Communications for the Army.I subsequently obtained my Amateur Radio hobby ever since. I hold an Amateur Radio Extra Class license as well as an FCC GROL license.

Richard Dees I have been an amateur radio operator since 1955 and hold an Amateur Radio Extra Class license. I also have a Commercial Radiotelephone License. I have a BS in Economics and Math as well as an MBA. I have taught business, electronics, and math at the university level, in trade and private schools. I was a USAF avionics technician and electronics instructor. I eventually became commissioned and served as a maitenance officer and Squadron Commander. While in USAF, I was assigned to the Tactical Air Command Directorate of Requirements, where I specified acquiring aircraft and avionics systems. After completing my military service, I became the Operations Manager for the City of Boise, managing three wastewater treatment plants and a 4,000-acre farm. I then moved to the City of Meridian, where I was the Operations Manager overseeing water and wastewater systems and became the Community Development manager. I have taught several amateur Radio license preparation courses throughout the Treasure Valley. I am married to my wife Janice, and we have two children, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. We have been residents of Meridian since 1991.
