Course Description
Ciao paesani! Are you Italian-American, or married to one? This course will help those with Italian ancestors navigate the process of obtaining Italian citizenship. Learn about qualification to become an Italian citizen by descent, with the ability to live, work and study in all 27 European Union member countries. Get insight, tips, and guidance on the entire dual citizenship application process. It's a great opportunity for students to learn about their Italian heritage and explore the possibilities and benefits of becoming dual citizens (including opening doors for those with children to be able to attend college in Europe at much lower costs than in the US). We will cover: benefits of becoming an Italian citizen; document preparation; consulate appointments; record acquisition; Italian translations, and other helpful tips. Update to this course: we will cover Italy's new "Minor Issue" law and what it means for your dual citizenship application process.
