Have you heard the term Art Journaling? It seems interesting, but you really don't have a grasp of what it is, what it's for, or why you may need it in your life. Art Journaling is a very personal expression of yourself, through art. It can be a Multi-Media extravaganza of paint, collage, stencils, stamps, glue, paper, cardboard, fabric, needlework and/or sewing. Or something completely different and unique to you. At first, it was very hard for your instructor to pin down exactly what it was and how to get started, and that is the part of my journey she wants to share with you.

Her intention for this class is not to teach you how to Art Journal, but to show you how to get started and hopefully not spend too much money in the process. You will go over some techniques, discuss basic supplies, where to source cheap and free materials and when you should spend the money on quality.

You will cover gel plates, papers, paper staining, stencils, stamps and using found objects. You could get started with just what you have on hand!

You will get an extensive list of artists who, via YouTube, have helped her get started, tips on products she likes, and discuss the journey into the world of mixed media and Art Journaling.
