NOTE: NO CLASS ON FEB. 11! If you are attending class at a Boise Schools location, a Community Ed site coordinator will be at the entrance to direct you to your classroom. Community Education classes MIGHT be cancelled due to inclement weather. Decisions will be made by Boise School District leadership regarding evening activities, including Community Ed classes. Course Description

Discover the powerful role a whole food, plant-based diet can play in preventing and managing common chronic diseases such as hypertension, high cholesterol, and diabetes. This introductory course will explore not only how a plant-based lifestyle can prevent disease but also its broader benefits, including improved gut health, mental clarity, weight management, and longevity.
Learn practical strategies for transitioning to a plant-based diet with guidance on meal planning, cooking techniques, and navigating common challenges. The course will feature insights drawn from leading experts like T. Colin Campbell, Caldwell Esselstyn, Michael Greger, and Neal Barnard.
